Sylvain and Sabine run an excellent gite at so many levels. They operated this for the municipality but have recently purchased the property. And pride of ownership shines through here. As former pilgrims they know exactly what a pilgrim wants and needs and they provide it in spades. The communal meal was one of if not the best meal we had on the 30 days that we walked the Le Puy route. Sabine worked hard in the kitchen, creating a sumptuous vegetarian option on short notice while Sylvain kept the bread, wine and conversation going during the meal. Some gites are simply a place to lay your head down. This gite gives you the gift of the essence of the Camino.
