The owner of the Auberge Saint Jacques was extremely kind and patient with me. I had a change of plans and decided to move on to the next village for the night. However, I couldn’t change my delivery plans with La Malle Postale in time. She agreed to keep my luggage at her place even though I wasn’t staying there as a paying customer! The next day, my bag was delivered as planned without incident. I cannot speak for anything beyond this, but I want to testify to the kindness and honesty the auberge owners displayed.
